Our Adventures in Poo Corner

Back when I was a little girl my parents would take us down the dirt road, over the railroad tracks, under the gate, and through the cow pasture to get to Poo corner. We loved it especially in the fall. So, I was called off of work today after 4 hours so, I picked up the kids and we went to my parents house in Morgan. I pick up my nephew Carson on the way (he is about Porter's age). My Mom thought it would be fun to take the 4 wheelers for a ride. Then we decided to go to Poo Corner. So, over the railroad track, over the big gate, through the cow pasture (Carson said: If you see a dark poop will you point to it and say "Dark Poop!"?-those are the fresh ones.) then we walked through the tall grass, crossing the streams over logs, until we got to the grove of trees that I remember so well. the kids had fun blancing on low limbs and hanging from the higher ones. we even had a bouncing tree. It was so fun and the kids were so cute. and of course I did not even think to bring a camera. So, now these memories are only in our heads. Adalynne sang most of the way sitting on my shoulders while Carson found every coolest rock and stick and held on to them to take home and show his brother, and Porter was very very careful with every step he took, he was very concerned about the Dark POop. then on the way back to grandmas we stopped and pet the horses on the side of the road. One licked Carson on the face then my mom on the ear, it was quite friendly. what a wonderful day. thanks mom for taking us to Poo Corner.

On the way home Addy was playing with Carson and oh yeah If I could bottle up those two giggling the whole world would smile.

Roarrrr

I have had a sinus infection for 12 days now. I finally went to the instacare yesterday to get some antibiotics. I have been hearing impaired for 10 days and I am not looking forward to old age. I took Adalynne into the room with me and we were reading a book about animals when as the doctor was walking into the room Addy let out this enormous RROARRRR. The doctor jumped about a mile and started laughing so hard I thought she was about to pee her pants as she walked out of the room to compose herself. Then she came back in but throughout our discussion every time she looked at Addy she started laughing. She was less impressed with my sinus problems and more impressed that that roar came out of little Adalynne.

Anyone that goes to church with us knows she really knows how to ROAR.

Super Porter Quote

"Mommy my powers tell me that Addy's diaper is dirty" (I had just changed her diaper but he insisited it was a dirty diaper I had put on her)

the Nicest thing

The kids and I were outside playing in the sprinklers (dont worry I was not in my swimsuit running aroung the yard) and the neighbor asked us if the kids would like another slide and a little house that his kids had grown out of. I said sure are you selling them? He said no he just wanted to get rid of them and he brought over the nicest big plastic slide and this really cool little cottage house. they were so generous. SO, BIG THANKS TO OUR REALLY GREAT NEIGHBORS.

the funny things they say.

Porter woke up this morning frantically asking where Diego went he was just in the kitchen and his room with all of his animals. Being 6:30 am
-I responded: Porter it was just a dream go back to bed and maybe you will see him again.
-Porter: "But mommy I am going to miss him, my friend Diego, He said 'go diego go'"

then I was on my way to the dentist and I was going to be late and I was a little lost so I was speeding and apparently driving wrecklessly because Porter said "mommy are you like Lighting McQueen?"

The other day Porter woke up soooo cranky and I gave him his bowl of cereal as I was cleaning the kitchen but I had not finished cleaning and apparently his table was not to his liking because He crankily exclaimed "This is a MESS, mommy you need to clean this up it is a MESSSS."

101 Adventures of Camping wtih the Bybee Family

We went camping with the Mitton Family up to Island Park last weekend. It was fun, and dirty, and stinky, but mostly fun.

We left after Aaron got home from work on Thursday, the truck was all packed and we were all ready to go. When we got to Layton Aaron decided he wanted to take my dad's 4 wheelers up. So, we got Billy's hitch and picked the 4 wheelers in Morgan. Then on the road again.

Around Bringham the dvd player stopped working, we needed an adapter for the car for power so we stopped at walmart and grabbed one with 8 different adapters. NONE of them worked. So, we heard Porter singing "bob the builder yes we can fix it" (not even the way it goes) until we couldn't stand it and called Brett and Sam in Pocatello to pick up another dvd player. thanks guys it really helped.
Porter finally fell asleep around 1030 and we got to the camping spot around midnight. yeah.

We had fun, Adalynne played in the dirt and made sure every camping chair had a pile of dirt on it to sit in. her face was never clean no matter how many times I cleaned it. And I don't know how kids can eat rocks like it is no problem. She probably ate a few handfuls of rocks. umm healthy.

Porter loved the 4 wheelers and playing with his friends. He was not so fond of the cold water or the tube really. And they both loved Tipper (Darrin and Marianne's Dog).

We went to church up in Island Park on Sunday. There were around 2000 people there. Both chaples were full (they have an A-frame chaple for all of the visitors) and the auxillary rooms were full and the grass and sidewalks were full. They had speakers set up outside for extra overflow. It was great, I love camping church because so many people show up with flipflops a white shirt and tie. or jeans and t shirt. Porter sang his abcs for everyone during the sacrament but when I went to take him out there was no out because there were people everywhere. so we ended up on the grass for the rest of church.

We decided to leave on sunday because Aaron had to work on mon at 3pm and that would give us enough time to get settled again. so we packed the 4 wheelers and left. when we got right outside of Pocatello part of the frame fell off of the trailer and the sides had broken loose. So, we quickly stopped, the lights had been pulled out and were no longer working, so we turned around and went back to Brett and Sams house. Aaron tried to fix it but it got too dark so,and we found out that the truck lights did not work either. so, we ended up staying at grandma bybee's house.

I had run out of clean clothes so I put on Aaron's Spandex he wears under his running shorts and his orange general lee t shirt, no make-up, hair in a ponytail, and i had a mosquito bite on my bum that was sooo itchy (I was look'n hot).

We took the truck in to the shop in the morning and found out that when the lights were pulled the truck lights acted as a fuse and blew the bulbs, so $90 later we have new bulbs in the truck we decided to just take the trailer home without lights. so we packed up again and left. about 30 min out of Pocatello the wheelwell blew off of the trailer. I called my dad and found out that the trailer was his high school welding project and we joked that the whole thing was going to fall apart before we got home. Then, right before Tremonton the axal broke loose and the tire jumped back and shredded to bits. We went swerving until we could get off to the side of the road.

I called my dad to come and get us. I was still wearing spandex so when we took the kids to the McDonalds to wait I changed out of my sexy clothes and back into my stinky clothes. I had run out of diapers for addy so when she pooped at Mcdonalds I put her in a swim diaper. It was funny becuse by now she was poopin gravel, poor girl.
My dad had trouble with changing his hitch so we were there for 3 hours by the time he came and loaded it all up. the kids thought we were the coolest parents ever. Thanks to my dad we were able to get back on the road and come home. so, 25 HOURS after leaving Island park we got home and Aaron got to work.
Camping is so fun.

growing up so fast

Porter and Addy are learning the ABC's together. It is really cute they sing it all day long until I try to capture it on video then there is no way they will sing. They get that from Aaron he secretly sings all day too :-).

Addy is learning to swim she is getting so big. We went to my parents last weekend with the Evans family it was really fun. Porter and Kaylie loved riding the 4 wheelers and swimming.
