sometimes the bink is the best medicine for everyone

We took Porter's binky away a little over a week ago. Yes, he was going through withdrawls forever. Then he got sick with Hand Foot and Mouth disease (not very fun). He would not eat, he would not sleep, he would just whine a lot, point to his mouth and say ouchy oww oww, or his feet and say toesies hurt owww oowww. then I would have to put a wet cloth over them. He would not take any medicine to make it feel better, when I came with tylenol or ibuprophen he would hide under the covers and in the meanest way he knew how say "bye mommy, no no bye mommy" waving out of the blankets. Or he would just hit it and spill it all over, or take it into his mouth and spit everywhere. so, while I was giving him a bath I found a binky that happened to get lost in the clean laundry. I told AAron and we gave Porter the binky after a long lost fight over medication. He went to sleep after 5 minutes of sucking. And we got our sanity back. Is it worth it? I don't know. But we all slept that night.

just can't get enough

Porter got some new shoes last week as I was trying to find some church shoes for him. Well, he has not taken them off since then except to go to church. (I never found church shoes) He takes naps with them, sleeps with them at night, and yes even baths with them.

We have grass

Yes the eye sore of the neighborhood is gone. The mud pit has been covered with beautiful sod. Thanks to all of you that were able to help, we really appreciate it. Porter decided he wanted to help as well. Someone would put a roll of sod down and he would get in the way saying "I got it" and bend down and roll the sod out then let the person fix it while he looked at it nodding in satisfaction. I was cute. Thank you again to everyone and their families that they were away from to help.

What is new?

Aaron finished his class work for his MHA. He has a project/internship this summer then he will be done. We are all so very proud of him and very excited that he will be home with us more often. We have been busy preping the yard for sod this saturday. Porter has been so very helpful if you can imagine. but I cant wait to go play in the grass and get the mud out of my house. Adalynne had her 2 month well baby checkup. She is very well. she is smiling and cooing and sometimes laughing. She is incredibly tall 23.75 inches (95th %), 10lbs 9 oz (50th %)way to go Addy. The other day I was driving and I realized I hope kids don't call her fatty Addy something I did not consider before naming her. oh well.
